09 Sep L-FRESH the LION covers ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel Air’ for JJJ Like a Version!
VPR Artist L-FRESH the Lion hit JJJ studios last Friday with Mirrah, DJ A$K + the bawwwsss Michael McGlynn to perform on Like a Version.
Will Smith was probably tuned in after he heard FRESH reveal the cover was DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince’s theme to the classic (read – i watch this sometimes when i get home at 3am after debauchery) show ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel Air’. Presumably Jay-Z also stopped Beyonce’s Birthday celebrations to put it on the wireless, with the mashup also including Panjabi MC feat. Jay-Z – ‘Beware’.
We’re stoked at the response from JJJ viewers – our fav was from Liz in Sydney – ‘LITERALLY WANT TO RUN TO TRIPLE J STUDIOS AND HUG THESE GUYS FOR YHE BEST LIKE A VERSION OF MY LIFE’.
It’s all about the hugs.
